Barton Filipiak's RV-8

I took these photos last week while the fuselage was assembled for drilling.  Sadly, it's all disassembled now for deburring, countersinking, dimpling, etc....

Took several days to get it together and drilled, about 2 hours to get it taken apart.

The life of an airplane builder.

Bradley Bormuth's Fairchild 24 Restoration.

First-Run on Newly Overhauled engine

A little History: Located at Silver Creek Airport in Morganton, NC during Hurricane Francis in 2004, this 1940 Fairchild 24W was submerged in nearly six feet of water. It is currently in restoration by Bradley Bormuth and is expected to return to flight by 2006 and remain certified. The Warner 165 engine will be overhauled (zero-timed) with a new propeller and it will have a new instrument panel and carpet.
